Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15, 1961) was an American actor. Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actor. Bassett born in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt following her birth to New York New York, is an acclaimed actress. Bassett, her sister, and their mother moved from the city of Winston-Salem to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was 5 years old. The father of the family had separated from their mom. While in high school Bassett saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided that she wanted to become an actor. The year was 1980 and Bassett was graduated from Yale University New Haven Connecticut with an undergraduate degree in African American studies. She also received a degree from The Yale School of Drama. While at Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a actress who was a friend of hers. They were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Masters of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama School: Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (seventh grade) Azalea Middle School (eighth and ninth grade) Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working on one of the leading parts in the film Ramonda in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
